Kate Wootton

directoronbridge.jpg

After formative years spend on both sides of the apron in theatre productions (at school and independently), the promise of even more control drew Kate to media production in university. There, she learned the technical aspects of film, television and radio production, while continuing to exercise her directing and acting skills in student produced plays.

Moving to Toronto, she took a couple of courses at LIFT, produced a couple of shorts (check them out at ) and eventually developed a script for a longer short, Clark Gable, inspired by the song of the same name byby the Postal Service.

Unfortunately, the film is too long for most short film festivals, and too short for feature festivals.

Kate's next project will, she vows, be under ten minutes or over 90.
